Conflict of Interest Policy

Last Updated: July 1, 2026|Preventing Review Bias

To protect the integrity of SoftwareHope, we enforce strict guidelines to prevent conflict of interest. We require absolute neutrality from all contributors, reviewers, editors, and software vendors.

1. Review Rules for Vendors

Software vendors and their employees are prohibited from writing reviews or submitting ratings for:

  • Their own software products or services.
  • Their direct competitors' software products or services (either negative or fake reviews).

Reviews found to violate this rule are deleted, and the vendor profile may be restricted or flagged on our directory.

2. Guidelines for SoftwareHope Employees & Editors

Our editors, reviewers, and contract writers must disclose any financial interest, shareholding, or prior employment with software companies they evaluate.

Editors with potential conflicts of interest are excluded from reviewing or editing articles related to those vendors.

3. Review Reporting & Flagging

All users can report reviews they believe violate this Conflict of Interest Policy. Our moderation team reviews flagged submissions, and we check reviewer LinkedIn and profile metadata to verify connection to the software company.

4. Get in Touch

If you have questions or want to report a potential conflict of interest regarding a published review or article, please submit a request via ourContact Form.
