SoftwareHope accepts paid advertising and sponsored listing campaigns from software vendors. This page explains how we display ads and sponsored items, and how we protect users from advertising bias.

1. Sponsored Placements & Visual Labels

Software vendors can purchase higher visibility, top placement slots, or banner ads in specific software categories. We require all paid placements to be clearly identified:

• "Sponsored" Badge: Any listing that ranks in a category list or directory grid due to advertising payment is marked with a clear "Sponsored" badge.
• Sponsored Banners: Banner ads in sidebars or category headers are clearly labeled as "Advertisement".

2. Influence on Scores & Ratings

An advertising relationship with SoftwareHope **does not** give vendors any of the following privileges:

• Alteration of overall star ratings or calculated review scores.
• Deletion of verified negative user reviews.
• Modification of competitor comparison grids or objective specification comparisons.

3. Vendor Subscriptions & Gated Support

Vendors can subscribe to paid plans (e.g. Standard, Growth, Premium) to unlock lead generation analytics, custom CTAs, or direct support ticket access. These subscriptions do not alter organic ranking order, which remains determined by user review metrics.
