AI Usage Policy
SoftwareHope prioritizes **real human experiences**. While artificial intelligence (AI) can assist with productivity, we enforce strict boundaries to protect our community directory from synthetic or auto-generated content.
1. Prohibitions on AI-Generated Reviews
Reviewers are strictly prohibited from using AI writing tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to write reviews. Software reviews must reflect your actual personal or professional usage of the product.
If a submission is identified as AI-generated by our filters, it is permanently deleted, and the reviewer's account may be restricted.
2. How We Detect AI Content
Our review moderation workflow integrates automated AI content checks alongside identity verification:
- Pattern Scanners: We parse submissions for repetitive syntax, generic phrasing, and template text typical of AI outputs.
- Metadata Audits: We track fast copy-paste actions and submit timings to detect automated bots.
- Manual Escalation: Flagged items are routed to human editors who check authenticity.
3. AI Usage by SoftwareHope Editors
Our editorial staff may use AI to optimize article meta tags, structure data schemas, or format lists. However, all rating conclusions, review summaries, and editorial recommendations are written and verified by human experts.
4. Reporting Synthetic Reviews
If you suspect a review on a listing was generated by AI, please flag it using the "Report Review" modal or contact our trust team via ourContact Form.
