Opera Pricing & Plans

Opera's built-in 'VPN' is technically an encrypted browser proxy, not a true system-wide VPN — it only routes traffic from within the Opera browser itself and does not encrypt or reroute traffic from other applications on your computer (unlike services such as NordVPN or ExpressVPN). It hides your IP address from websites and encrypts the connection between your browser and Opera's proxy server, which adds a useful layer of security on public Wi-Fi and can bypass geo-restricted content. However, it is not a no-logs VPN — Opera (owned by a consortium that includes Chinese investors) acts as the proxy operator, which is a consideration for users with high privacy requirements. Opera offers a separate paid 'VPN Pro' subscription for more robust, system-wide coverage.
