Trivy focuses on container and infrastructure vulnerability scanning. Trivy is a practical choice for teams that want one scanner covering containers, dependencies and infrastructure definitions. Its CLI fits neatly into build pipelines without demanding a separate dashboard. Scan results still need triage. A vulnerable package in an image may not be reachable in production, and database updates can change findings between builds.
