Best overall Command Chains automation macros

by Calvin A.

After switching our research team to Vivaldi as the primary browser, a Command Chain opened our seven daily work tools resized the window and loaded our dashboard in a single two-keystroke sequence every morning.

Pros:Our power-user development team with Vivaldi's Command Chains browser action automation macro sequencer automated a twelve-step daily workflow of opening tabs resizing windows and loading bookmarks with a single Command Chain trigger.
Cons:Command Chains require understanding the available browser actions and their sequencing syntax to create effective automation macros, which requires planning ahead during initial setup.

Genuinely impressed by Tab Hibernation memory optimizer

by Yusuf A.

Since our power-user development team adopted Vivaldi for daily work, Tab Hibernation freed over six hundred megabytes of RAM from our eighty background research tabs without losing any page state or session data.

Pros:My personally configured daily browser setup with Vivaldi's Tab Hibernation automatically freeing RAM from idle tabs reduced browser RAM usage by four hundred megabytes by enabling Tab Hibernation on our seventy idle background research tabs.
Cons:Tab Hibernation may interrupt real-time notifications or live update features running in background tabs that are suspended, a detail worth verifying before the first production session.

Highly customizable browsing with Sync end-to-end encrypted profile sync

by Quentin B.

Following our documentation team deployment of Vivaldi for research sessions, Vivaldi Sync transferred our complete browser profile including all Tab Stacks Command Chains and custom CSS rules to a new laptop in under four minutes.

Pros:The research analyst team with Vivaldi's Sync end-to-end encrypted bookmark and settings synchronization across devices synchronized our complete Vivaldi profile including extensions stacks and custom settings to a new laptop using end-to-end encrypted sync.
Cons:Vivaldi Sync is encrypted but requires creating a Vivaldi account to enable cross-device synchronization features, something to test in a short trial before going fully live.
