Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) is a cloud-native Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) service that provides seamless, secure connectivity to private internal applications hosted across public clouds and on-premises data centers without placing users on the corporate network. ZPA completely replaces vulnerable legacy VPN concentrators. Operating on the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange edge architecture across 150+ global data centers, ZPA connects authenticated users directly to specific authorized applications rather than entire network subnets. By using outbound-only connections, private applications are rendered completely invisible to the public internet, preventing lateral movement and external reconnaissance.
