After testing multiple competing tools, painting on an HDR monitor with Krita's 32-bit floating-point canvas allowed me to create luminous fantasy lighting that simply cannot be achieved in standard sRGB, giving our team total confidence in daily use.
We switched our workflow setup because drawing software limited strictly to sRGB 8-bit that cannot produce print-accurate CMYK or HDR artwork, making wide color gamut support, 32-bit floating point, and HDR painting capabilities a necessity.
In our daily production workflow, pressing 'W' to activate wrap-around mode while painting game environment textures saved me hours of manual offset checking, which resolved our previous operational bottlenecks.
We decided to switch because manually offset-filtering canvases over and over in Photoshop just to check texture seam lines, making wrap-around seamless pattern creation mode for game texturing and backgrounds the decisive factor.
Setting this up in our environment was very straightforward, as the Stabilizer mode enabled me to ink smooth, professional comic book lines on my drawing tablet without having to constantly undo and redraw strokes.
We replaced our previous solution due to wobbly, jittery line art caused by tablet sensor micro-vibrations and lack of native stroke smoothing, making brush stabilization and smoothing tools including Basic, Weighted, and Stabilizer essential for us.
