Basecamp offers two distinct pricing tiers: a Per User plan at $15/user/month (billed monthly) best suited for freelancers and small teams, and a Pro Unlimited plan at $299/month (billed annually) or $349/month (billed monthly) that covers unlimited internal users — making it more cost-effective once your team exceeds roughly 20–25 people. Every plan includes access to the full suite of Basecamp features with no functionality locked behind higher tiers. Importantly, external guests such as clients and contractors can be invited to projects for free on both plans — you are only billed for internal team members.
