Breadth is also the trade-off. Teams may spend significant time agreeing on policies and learning which modules they actually need.
Steampipe addresses SQL queries across cloud services. Using SQL to inspect cloud services is a clever fit for teams that already know relational queries and want ad hoc audits. It is not a replacement for a managed alerting pipeline. Someone still needs to schedule queries and respond to results.
