HooplavsKick

Hoopla is a groundbreaking digital media service offered in partnership with local public libraries across North America and Australia. It transforms your library card into a powerful, all-in-one entertainment passport. Unlike traditional streaming services that focus on one medium, Hoopla provides instant access to a massive catalog of movies, television shows, full music albums, audiobooks, eBooks, and digital comic books, all housed within a single app. The service's biggest advantage is its "instant borrow" model. Unlike physical library books or some other digital library apps, there are no waitlists or hold queues on Hoopla; if a title is in the catalog, it is immediately available to borrow and stream or download for offline use. The interface is clean and family-friendly, featuring a dedicated "Kids Mode" that filters the library to only display age-appropriate content for younger users. **Pricing:** Hoopla is completely free for patrons of participating public libraries. There are zero advertisements, late fees, or subscription costs. Access is restricted only by a monthly borrowing limit (e.g., 5 or 10 items per month), which is determined and funded by the user's specific local library system.

The platform competes with major streaming services by offering creator-focused revenue sharing and audience engagement features.
