Driver EasyvsStackify Retrace

Pros

Cons

Pros

• Combines application performance monitoring (APM), centralized logging, and server health metrics into a single dashboard, reducing tool-switching overhead.
• Automatic code-level transaction tracing captures slow SQL queries, remote HTTP calls, and method-level bottlenecks with minimal manual instrumentation.
• Custom dashboard builder supports drag-and-drop widgets for combining log streams, error rates, and CPU metrics into application-specific operational views.

Cons

• Agent installation on Windows servers can conflict with existing .NET profiling tools, requiring manual CLSID registration fixes in some IIS environments.
• Log query performance degrades significantly when searching across more than 30 days of retained data, with complex queries timing out.
• Alerting engine lacks machine-learning-based anomaly detection; threshold definitions are entirely manual and prone to false positives during normal traffic spikes.
